Klipsch X5 Headphones Review - An Introduction To Higher End Earbuds

The Klipsch Image X5 are the follow-up to the original Image headphones, which were the smallest in-canal noise isolating earbuds ever, from the leading name in home audio and cinema sound. The new earphones come equipped with electroplated aluminum housings and are aerodynamic-shaped. The X5 is the second of Klipsch's two Image models, differing from the X10 in having a diaphragm that is 2mm smaller and, and hundred dollars less costly.

In-ear sound isolating earphones are convenient and can offer very high levels of audio clarity and detail. Klipsch have been steadily releasing some truly excellent earphones over the last couple of years, and the Image X5 is no exception. The X5's are compatible with iPods, iPhones and other portable devices.

The sound is a quantum leap up from the cheap earbuds supplied with most MP3 players, with warm deep bass and plenty of detail in the trebles.
This type of earphone is designed to seal in your ear canal, which means you can listen uninterrupted by the noise around you. Though noise-cancellation models do better in the presence of internal combustion engines, the X5 is especially good for low-level (and therefore safe) listening in noisy outdoor locations. Noise Isolating Design attenuates outside noise by an amazing 26db.

Features

* Small, lightweight in-ear headphone design
* Precise, comfortable fit for long-term wear
* Balanced full range driver
* Tuned bass-reflex system
* Superior noise cancellation (passive)

Well balanced sound, easy in-ear fit and beautiful design make this earphone a winner in it's class. If you are prepared to spend more on your earphones, the Klipsch Image X5 is an excellent introduction to the world of higher end in-ear canal sound isolating headphones.
